Of writing, what else?

It was once believed that nobody could teach writing. It was a gift you were born with. Great writers were born, not made. And such other generalizations. While there’s a grain of truth in each of these, experience has taught me that writing can be taught.

I wrote the way I did to prove a point. Read the preceding sentences and tell me which stands out as a really good example of bad prose.

    I believe if you have the attention of your audience and have managed to correctly convey the emotion and drama that you wish to convey, you are a great writer. If not, you’re a technical writer.
